About Eyelash Extensions
Your Reese Robert lash extensions can last up to 2 months depending on the natural cycle of your own lashes and with proper care. The life cycle of an eyelash is 60-90 days. Lashes naturally shed at the end of their life cycle: fill-ins (touch ups) will be necessary every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the fallen lashes and the new growth of other eyelashes.
- DAY OF APPOINTMENT:
- Please remove all eye makeup (especially mascara) before your Reese Robert eyelash extensions treatment. This will allow the eyelash extensions to properly adhere to your natural eyelashes.
- AFTER CARE:
- To maintain the best care and to extend the life of your lashes in the first 24 hours after application avoid getting your lashes wet to allow the adhesive to cure thoroughly. In the first 48 hours avoid facials, hot steam from showers/saunas as well as tanning salons or swimming pools, alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, or any type of acidic substances. After 48 hours keep sauna, steam room and tanning visits to a minimum as they may cause the adhesive bond to weaken. Always avoid sleeping on your lashes!
- DAILY MAINTENANCE:
- Avoid using harsh mechanical eyelash curlers. Reese Robert heated eyelash curler is safe to use on natural and lash extensions and will help with the maintenance of lash extensions as they grow, guiding downward growing lashes into place. Mascara is not necessary with your Reese Robert lash extensions, you can use a WATER BASED MASCARA sparingly on the tips. Avoid using oil based or waterproof mascara or eye makeup of any kind as this may weaken the chemical bond. Avoid using oil based cleaners on or near the eye. Instead, use rinse-off water based cleansers such as the Reese Robert Prep Wash. Avoid using cotton balls or cotton swab applicators as the fibers may get stuck to the bonded area. There are many variables, including technician expertise, hair growth cycle, use of cosmetics and skin care products and the overall care that will influence how long the extensions remain in place. Most of all, be gentle! Do not pick or pull your Reese Robert lash extensions and refrain from rubbing your eyes.
